A total of 1,070 students from the neighboring schools - #47, #215, #237, Patterson Park Public Charter School, Archbishop Borders, St. Casimir, and John Ruhrah - visited the Train Garden this year. All the students and the 285 adults who accompanied them were excited at seeing the various displays in the Train Garden.

The Train Garden Has Been Busy and Find Out About Engine 41's Santa Ride
As of Sunday, December 9 1,883 persons have visited the Train Garden. It has been opened only for 6 days - November 24 and 25, December 1 and 2, and December 8 and 9. Beginning on December 15 the Train Garden will be open every day from 11 am to 5 pm except For Christmas until January 1. Hope to see you there!
Also, Engine 41's Santa Ride will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 7 pm. Santa will be making his way down the following streets: Bank Street, Eastern Avenue, Fleet Street, Foster Avenue., Fait Avenue, Hudson Street, Dillon Street, O'Donnell Street, and Boston Street. The Ride will boundary Bank Street to the north, Haven Street to the East, Linwood Avenue to the west, and Boston Street to the South.

Finally
On Sunday, November 18, 2018 members of the Train Garden committee began testing the trains, the lights, the transformers, etc. Everything seems to be in working order and ready for Opening Day on Saturday, November 24, 2018.
VisitBaltimore.com Visits The Train Garden
On Saturday, November 17, 2018 a crew spearheaded by Kenny Klompus came to the Train Garden to shoot a short video. There were personnel from TBC Productions and Visit Baltimore. The Train Garden was one of the four finalists to be chosen this year. The other three were the Washington Monument lighting, 34th Street, and the German Market at the Inner Harbor. Almost Ready For Opening Day

The Di Pasquale's Marketplace Building Is Completed
On November 4, 2018 several members of the Train Garden Committee continued to create items at the Train Garden. Creating A Display With A G Scale Size Train
On Sunday, October 28, 2018 Carol Hartke and Joe Manfre began building a display on the back table at the Train Garden. This display will show a G Scale size train and related items. It is now under construction. Joe Manfre took the picture.

Time To Write the Letters For Sponsorship
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 Train Garden committee members met at Carol Hartke's home to begin the activities for the Train Garden sponsorship letters. Helping were Nancy Supik, Terry Maillar, Carol Hartke, Joan Campbell, and Doug Campbell. Joe Manfre also helped and he took the pictures. Carol's border terriers - Tipple (the bigger one) and Emmy - also volunteered but we finished early enough so we did not need their help!

Experiencing the Hoehn's Bakery Building
On September 8, 2018 several members of the Train Garden Committee worked on the Hoehn's Bakery building. Doug and Joan Campbell created the building. Terry Maillar, Scott Eggleston, and Carol Hartke decided to add greenery and lights around the building. Joe Manfre took the pictures.

Two New Additions to the Patterson Park Display
On Wednesday, September 5, 2018 Terry Maillar created a replica of the Fountain in Patterson Park. Also, Acorn lamp posts, which were donated to the Train Garden by the Eva Watson Family, light up the perimeter of most of the park. George Lambillotte also helped to work on this activity. Work is Continuing in Several Areas
On Wednesday, August 29, 2018 Terry Maillar, George Lambillotte, and Joe Manfre continued to develop several areas of the Train Garden. In the pictures below Terry is preparing lights for the row houses, George is working on the stage display in the Amusement Rides area, and Joe glued several people on the Haussner's Restaurant Building showing how persons in the past would wait in line to enter Huassner's. Finishing Up The Patterson Park Display
On August 19, 2018 Terry Maillar, Jessica Markiewicz, Doug Campbell, and Joan Campbell have about 99% completed the Patterson Park Display. The E-Z track has been laid and the E-Z Street cars and vans are working perfectly. The pool only needs some minor adjustments and then it would be completed. Now attention can be given to the Highlandtown Display. Joe Manfre took the pictures and video.
